Frequently asked questions
Can I sign a PDF without printing it?
Yes. Draw your signature with a mouse or finger, type it in a signature style, or upload an image of it, then place it anywhere on the page.
Does it work with interactive form fields?
Yes. If your PDF has real form fields, Pilcrow shows them on the page so you can fill them in place. You can also add free text to flat or scanned forms that have no fields.
Can I still edit the fields after signing?
By default the filled fields are flattened into the page, so they're no longer editable form fields and the document looks final. Untick 'Flatten' if you'd like the fields to stay editable.
Is my signature stored anywhere?
No. Your signature is held only in your browser's memory while you work and is never uploaded or saved. Everything happens on your device.
